One Stroke Convention was Awesome!!

Got home from the One-Stroke Convention in Orlando yesterday.

I had so much fun and met some wonderful new friends. I highly recommend any one-stroke students attend and get the real "core" of one-stroke and connect with all the great people that love this art. Thanks so much to Sandy for inviting me to go; for being such a great teacher and most of all for being my bestfriend! I took lots of fun classes and learned a lot. I also learned that I have a lot to learn! Four days of painting full time is intense, but the strength you pull from all the fantastic painters is uplifting and empowering. At first I thought I was in way over my head, but soon realized how much it boosted my confidence that I could be a great painter if I just dreamed it, believed it and did it! This was Donna's challenge to us all. I hope to get to attend convention next year as well. It would be great to go as a OSCI, but not sure I am ready to commit to that challenge just yet. I can't wait to see how much better I paint by then. Donna also challenged us to make a list of 10 goals for this year. Some of mine are to paint at least three times a week; watch all my dvd instructional videos of Donna; paint the surfaces I already own before buying more things to clutter my studio (my hubby says "Amen" to this one!); and to focus on painting like me and not like Donna, or Sandy or some of the other great artist out there! Sorry about the layout of this post. I still havent learned my way around this new blog. Pictured above is Sandy and I at the 1920's Flapper Dance the first night of the convention. Sandy won third place for the best flapper outfit! Also posted is a picture of me and Donna Dewberry on the last night of the convention. Boy am I tired...this has been an exhausting week, but one I will certainly never forget. Have a great week!

Hey Baby,
I was so lonely and bored while you were away, but I'm thrilled that you had a great time. I love you and am very proud of you and your artful skills (which I lack).
Love,
Don

Hey Terry! So glad you got to go with Sandy. I know you gals had a wonderful time. I wondered you two were up to each day wishing I was there too! Thank you so much for the sweet comment on my blog. I'd sure love to visit you in PA and get certified with you but I'll have to see. Work is the main issue. I just hate that it always gets in the way of what I want to do! lol Take care and get my e-mail from Sandy and let me know when you are taking more classes! Hugs ~ Kim
